“Excellence In Retirement Living” is the motto of Wesley-Palms where I live in the “Afternoon’ of life. The Corporation, that now owns and operates this delightful ‘Pink Palace’ which the Methodist Christians built has changed it’s name to “Front Porch.’ THIS IS MY ROOM 416.

In our LANIA by the elevator, At 1:30-4 o’clock, April 10, YOU ARE INVITED TO CELEBRATE WITH ME MY 91ST BIRTHDAY. Helen Burke with her Accordian will help us in singing at 2:30 p.m.. Psalm 91 I will read...Joyce Stockton and Mary Cunningham will share Guava Punch and Guava Champagne...with large Strawberries dipped in chocolate....My daughter Susan will show and explain my Room.

From the Lanai on the 4th floor of this over 40 acre site on the side of Soledad Mountain I have a wonderful view of Mission Bay with it’s circuitous beaches and the Bridge that takes us to Coronado for Plays, Exhibits and Naval activities. Three mornings a week 8-19 of us walk Pacific Beach Bay or Shoreline watching the birds, swimmers & surfers. Two busses; one called “Van Go’ takes us to the Art and Social Offerings in Balboa Park, County-wide Plays, and shows offered week by week.

My room is dominated by a UN flag and World. I am a World citizen, who loves America passionately. I have been a Christ-centered Pacifist since the age of 20; always trying to make the weight of my life count for

Peace. Family pictures of the 24 people of my life dominate the Walls.

By our 60 TV stations and my Computer (Grandson John helps me touch the World weekly). I read scores of books. I am in contact with many of the suffering & straying in the world. My life is centered in Intercession. I

seldom miss a daily “Sanctuary Time ’ in our Jacuzzi” ...Weekly

I touch and am touched by brothers &sisters in Assam, China, Russsia, Thailand , and scores of our States....

You are invited to see how a 91 year old man lives and rejoices in life.
